Thank you for your interest in applying for The UQ LGBTQIA+ Scholarship & the Alumni Pride Scholarship at The University of Queensland.
Before you start
This application form will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and must be finished in one session. The form will timeout after 25 minutes of inactivity and your progress will not be saved. Before starting the application, please prepare all necessary documentation required.
Please ensure:
- You have read the current UQ LGBTQIA+ Scholarship rules and the Alumni Pride Scholarship rules.
- You have prepared information about your financial circumstances - you’ll need to upload documents showing your own and (if applicable) your parents'/caregivers' financial situation. This can include:
- a recent Centrelink Statement
- pay slips covering the past 2 months (i.e. past 8 weekly pay slips/past 4 fortnightly)
- ATO Notice of Assessment for 2024–2025.
- You have prepared a personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining your suitability for either award of these scholarships. This statement is your opportunity to demonstrate your need for assistance.
- You have prepared a reference to upload from a representative of the LGBTQIA+ community.
- You understand that it is your (the applicant’s) responsibility to provide all required information and documentation to UQ to be considered for The UQ LGBTQIA+ Scholarship and/or the Alumni Pride Scholarship.
