Library student placements

We review placement applications quarterly in February, May, July and November.

You must be currently enrolled in an ALIA accredited course in library and information studies to apply.

To apply, you will need to submit the following:

  • details of your current course
  • requirements for your placement
  • the areas of academic libraries you are interested in
  • your resume
  • a letter of introduction from your institution (if available).

Apply at least 8 weeks prior to your preferred placement dates.

    Placement Details

Please provide details of your preferred dates and timing for your placement. For example, specific date range, full-time, part-time, etc.

Our Library student placements page has information about our different academic library teams.

Please rank the areas in your order of preference. Placement opportunities will be dependent on the capacity within our teams. We recommend selecting at least 3 preferences to assist us in accommodating your request.
