Important Information

To adhere to our insurance policy, all vehicle use must be for UQ Business:

  • Extracurricular Educational Activity
  • Enrichment and Employability Activity
  • Assistance connecting on-campus residential students with the local community
  • Events as arranged by UQ
  • Residential Student Welfare Support as arrange by UQ 

There is a hire fee of $65 for up to 4 hours, or $120 for 4 to 24 hours. (Bookings for over 24 hours must be discussed prior to being made.) This fee assists with petrol and vehicle maintenance costs (petrol is included in the hire fee). Once the booking is confirmed, payment is required prior to bus collection - ideally two days in advance.

What it is not suitable for:

  • UQU club balls
  • Social events unconnected with UQ Business
  • Events with emphasis on alcohol
  • Overnight stays
  • Distances more than 200 kilometres from the UQ Gatton Campus
  • Unsealed roads or off roading

Bus Information

  • If the bus is not collected within one hour of the scheduled pick-up time, it may be re-allocated to other users
  • Hirers are reminded that they are responsible for any damage to the bus, including overhead, interior, underbody, windscreen, and tyres
  • The hirer is responsible for all traffic and parking infringements incurred during the booking period
  • As this is a shared community vehicle, it must be returned clean and in good condition
  • All damage; whether minor or significant, must be reported to the Gatton Student Central team upon return of the bus
  • You are required to present a valid photo ID when collecting and returning the vehicle
  • Only the authorised driver registered for this booking is permitted to drive the bus
