Through this application, you may be considered for the following scholarships and scholarship schemes:

You only need to submit one application. We will assess you for all scholarships you are eligible for based on the information you provide.

Application deadlines

Deadlines vary. Please refer to each scholarship webpage for key dates and offer round information.

Eligibility
You must be a  domestic student in accordance with the University’s Student Fees Policy to be eligible for any of the scholarship schemes within this application. 

Before you start

This application will take around 45 minutes and must be completed in one sitting. The form will time out after 25 minutes of inactivity and your progress won’t be saved.

Have the following ready:

  • Information about your financial circumstances (if you would like to be considered for scholarships that assess financial hardship). You’ll need to upload documents showing your own and, if applicable, your parents'/caregivers'/partner's financial situation. This can include:
    • a recent Centrelink Statement
    • pay slips covering the past 2 months (i.e. past 8 weekly pay slips/past 4 fortnightly)
    • ATO Notice of Assessment for 2025–2026.
  • A personal statement (up to 500 words) outlining your personal and leadership qualities and/or experience. You may also wish to address:
    • community service involvement 
    • personal and/or family circumstances
    • career aspirations/interests
    • leadership qualities/experience.
  • A financial statement (up to 500 words) outlining the impact of your financial circumstances on your life and studies. You may also wish to address:
    • any significant changes you anticipate to your circumstances once you commence tertiary study
    • other barriers you have experienced in commencing tertiary study
    • how a scholarship would assist you in completing your studies.
  • Your QTAC Application Number (if you’ve applied to UQ through QTAC for entry in 2027).
  • Confirmation of your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status (if applicable).

This notice explains how we (The University of Queensland) manage personal information to meet our obligations under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) and the Queensland Privacy Principles.

What information are we collecting?

The University of Queensland (UQ) is collecting your personal information through completion of this scholarship application form including your:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status
  • Disability status
  • Any health or disability information voluntarily provided in supporting documentation, personal statements, financial statements, or other attachments submitted with your application.

We may also collect other personal information that is directly related to, and reasonably necessary for, the purposes of scholarship assessment, selection and administration.

Why are we collecting your personal information?

We are collecting your information for the purposes of scholarship selection and administration. We are collecting your information under the following legislation:

Consent

In order to process your application, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal and sensitive information as set out in this Privacy Notice.

Who will we disclose your personal information to?

UQ will disclose your personal information to a third party. Your information will be disclosed to the scholarship selection panel, Donors, UQ Affiliates and UQ Controlled Entities in order to support the scholarship process.

Overseas disclosure of your personal information

Other than in relation to the above disclosure requirements, the personal information you give us will be stored in Australia.

Use of your personal information

We will not use your personal information for any other purpose unless we are authorised or required under an Australian law, or court or tribunal order to do so.

Privacy complaints, access to and correction of your personal information

Our privacy policy explains how you can access and amend your personal information, how to make a complaint about the way we have handled your personal information, and how your complaint will be handled. What would happen if we did not collect your personal information?

It is not possible to assess your Scholarship Application without this information.
