Application Guidelines

This application form covers the following two scholarships:

You only need to complete this form once. 

Before you start

The closing date for this application is Friday 20 November 2026 at 5:00pm. This application will take around 45 minutes and must be completed in one sitting. The form will time out after 25 minutes of inactivity and your progress won’t be saved.

Make sure you have:

  • The University of Queensland listed as your first QTAC preference as at 12:00pm on Monday 21 December 2026 in order to be considered for the Wednesday, 23 December 2026 QTAC offer round.
  • Your QTAC Application Number. This number was issued to you after lodging your online QTAC application.
  • Supporting documentation for any significant leadership and/or community service achievements you wish to include in your application. This documentation must be uploaded as evidence of the achievements you list.
  • An impact statement (up to 300 words) describing how your leadership achievements have benefited your community (if including leadership examples).

  • If you are awaiting additional information or supporting documentation (e.g., after a School Speech Night), you may provide it to the Scholarships & Prizes Office by emailing scholarships@uq.edu.au. It must be received no later than Friday 4 December 2026
  • Read the relevant rules for each scholarship.

What information are we collecting?

The University of Queensland (UQ) is collecting your personal information through completion of this scholarship application form including your:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email address
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Citizenship
  • Education information
  • QTAC application number
  • Leadership achievements and/or community service activities

Why are we collecting your personal information?

We are collecting your information for the purposes of scholarship selection and administration. We are collecting your information under the following legislation:

In order to process your application, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal and sensitive information as set out in this Privacy Notice.

Who will we disclose your personal information to?

UQ will disclose your personal information to a third party. Your information will be disclosed to the scholarship selection panel, UQ Affiliates and UQ Controlled Entities in order to support the scholarship process.

Overseas disclosure of your personal information

Other than in relation to the above disclosure requirements, the personal information you give us will be stored in Australia.

Use of your personal information

We will not use your personal information for any other purpose unless we are authorised or required under an Australian law, or court or tribunal order to do so.

It is not possible to assess your scholarship application without this information.
